Stuck on Stupid Book Series Debuts!

Introducing “Get Unstuck” Guides to Self Help

Stuck on Stupid Book Series Debuts, Introducing “Get Unstuck” Guides to Self Help

The Stuck on Stupid (SOS) Book Series was released on Friday, June 2, 2006 with the first book, Stuck on Stupid: A Guide for Today’s Single Woman Stuck in Yesterday’s Stupid Relationships. Why June 2nd? June 2nd was National Break-Up Day and the premiere of the comedy The Break-Up starring Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn. What better time to get unstuck from an unhealthy relationship! To kick things off author and creator T. Murray was on STAR 94.1 to discuss the book and National Break-Up Day with Steve and Vickki on Friday, June 2nd at 7:00 AM.  Since that time Stuck on Stupid has been discussed on WAOK's Shelley Winter's talk show and in upcoming articles in Upscale and Essence Magazine. This Sunday, July 23rd, T. Murray will be on Atlanta's V-103 with Joyce Littel on Love & Relationships. This book takes a unique look at how women keep themselves trapped in dead end relationships and friendships. Through a blunt and humorous look at the characters that women play, such as “The Other Woman” and “The Double Agent,” the book brings to the surface many of the issues women tend to ignore. Readers will be entertained and simultaneously see themselves in the pages. Stuck on Stupid will be the wake up call for young, urban, professional women who are ready to get unstuck.

About the SOS Book Series

The Stuck on Stupid Book Series will address sticky situations in relationships, career, family, marriage, health, and more! Future titles include: Stuck on Stupid: A Guide for the Professional Stuck in a Career They Can’t Stand, and Stuck on Stupid: A Guide for People Stuck Sabotaging Their Health. The books will create couch and water cooler conversations that will reveal to readers that they are not alone in feeling stuck, or powerless to proceed when certain predicaments arise. The books will all be divided into 4 chapters: Velcro, Masking Tape, Rubber Cement and Super Glue. As each adhesive device increases in strength, so does the amount of work it will take to remove the life situations within that chapter. The phrase “stuck on stupid” was chosen as the title of these books to represent people who are in situations that they know are unhealthy and impacting them in a negative way, but for some reason do not feel they have the power or the means to escape. The overarching message in the series is “Don’t be afraid of being stuck on stupid! Be afraid of staying stuck!”
